Does counseling work?

Multiple scientific studies have proved that counseling and therapy is safe and effective. Compared to medication, counseling is equally effective in treating anxiety, depression, grief and trauma and has no adverse physical side effects. In addition, studies of people with anxiety and depression have shown that the beneficial effects of counseling endure even after the treatment has ended.

Can I get an appointment for myself or my family?

We happily treat adults of all ages, children (11 and older) and teens. Counseling sessions are available by appointment only but we always welcome new clients!

Will my insurance cover counseling?

Basin Counseling Inc accepts many insurance plans and will bill your insurance company for you.

We work with many insurance providers. If you do not see your insurance provider listed, please call as we work with too many to list!

What happens at the first appointment?
During your first session, you will discuss confidentiality and expectations for therapy. Your counselor will talk to you about what circumstances or problems have led you to seek counseling and together you will develop a plan addressing those issues.
